This picture was taken by my mother at the World Cup in Hamar last winter,...while as the quality of the picture is poor, the image itself captured such a big part of who I am and what I love to do.
I started studying photography when I was only 17, youngest in my class, and maybe not the most motivated... I got through it, and I did ok. Ever since I have been working with photography in some form, taking pictures, making pictures or selling the equipment to take them.
I spend most of my day in a photo-lab. in a small town in Norway, it may not be the most interesting part of photography, but we all know there are bills to be payed!
During the speedskating season I spend as many weekends as possible going to different events, big or small, I enjoy both. Most of the time you will see me with a camera "stuck" to my face, but sometimes I'll be there just watching the skating and enjoying what I would call the elegance and beauty of this sport. Being a busy person with a large amount of energy, this is also my way to relax, unwinde and just be.
My big dream would be to some day make a living out of my speedskatingphotos, ...or win the lottery and do speedskatingphotography full time anyway!

I will be posting pictures from the different speedskating events that I visit throughout the season. If you share my passion I hope you will enjoy looking through the pictures and that way reliving the events, or maybe seeing it for the first time... maybe it can catch your interest? If you find yourself(!) in my pictures, and wishes to use any of my images on your own website, please do, but I hope you will let me know so that I can visit your site and check it out!
